Don't ask me, ask the people who posts threads here in W&F everytime they see FMR's delayed responses from a Jmod.
You're the one who brought it up... why bring it up, if you don't even know why you're bringing it up?
I'm better than you, but that doesn't mean you're not great!
Even though it didn't properly worked, I believed that the
Forum 'Highlight' System
had potential. I forgot why it didn't fully work, but I think it was abused; however, it was the best way to anonymously escalate a Forum Moderator's action(s) to the Community Management Team. As of right now, its current role is to escalate real-life issues/breaking real-word laws scenarios. I am not even sure if that still works.
As for the current
Forum Moderation Review V3
sticky, if Mod Kari or any other J-Mod deems it necessary to privately message you instead of publicly posting their response to your report, it's carried out that way. I do agree that there should be a way to "hide" our names whenever we are reporting Forum Moderators, but they already know that their actions or lack thereof are always scrutinized. I'm sure that they are all right with that. It's part of their position.
Considering
Forum Help V2.
, I do agree that reports ought to be anonymous, somehow. I already know a lot of players reporting one another for vengeance. Not only is that against the Rules, but it also is a waste of time for the Forum Moderators. To be completely honest, considering how archaic these Forums are, I am unsure how something like this would be technically feasible.
Alternatively, Jagex Mods can send the results of their judgment of their reply to a forum moderation review post if it is done correctly to the player's inbox in account, with the Mod just saying @playername the results of your post have been sent to your Inbox. This way only the player who made the forum moderation review post correctly can know the results of whatever they posted.
^ That's already the procedure. If a situation merits a private response, the J-Mod in question already contacts the player(s) in question through their individual Message Centre. It has not been done in a while and I'm assuming it has to do with the fact that the concerns did not require a private response, but it's already the standard protocol to follow.

If appropriate, you may receive a follow up in-game inbox message when you submit a report, so check your game message centre regularly.
Otherwise you can expect a public response to your concerns in a post at the end of this thread.

I mean Jmods will send the results every time. You can just get another Jmod other than Mod Kari to send the PM to inbox so she doesn't need to spend more time on the review thread. We could poll this alternative suggestion at least.

This would be more feasible if we had been during the Golden Age of the RSOFs when we used to see hundreds and hundreds of active users. Right now, we are very lucky to get 10-20 at any given time.

The highlight system didn't work for reporting Fmods because the Jmods didn't read them I'm 99.9% sure it was Steve W said so in a post

If you report something the opposite party has a right to see what is reported, regardless of being done right/wrong.
According to whom? Where do you believe that you have been given this right to "see what is reported" ?
We are still here in the "
Public-section
" of The RSOF and not any private exclusive part elsewhere on The RSOF.
