Hello Web-Team, the next issue I have is that when I try to download a new version of the RuneScape Client it will show me the selection 'Download for Windows', however clicking on it doesn't make me go anywhere nor start anything. (Windows Laptop)
Original message details are unavailable.
If you right click download button - open in a new tab or incognito mode, does it work?
This work-around did the job for me and helped me to get the download instantly.
Can you fix this evil for us?
By the way for my iMac everything works perfect.
2_Tron, what Internet browser are you utilizing? I just checked on both my laptop and PC using Google Chrome on Windows and it worked fine. I did not have to right-click the button in order to download the client.
Hey Mrs Ana, internet browsers I do utilize in Windows are ‘Microsoft Edge’ and/or ‘FireFox’.
Using ‘Microsoft Edge’ having already an older download, and saved it, it only started to work after I removed the ‘older saved download’ before I was able to see a new download being ready to ‘open or saved’. At least it does work now perfectly.
A possible second issue ‘could be’ when graphic drivers aren’t up to date (mine weren’t) it can happen that the ‘pop-up window’ of Downloads isn’t properly displayed or isn’t displayed at all so I missed the notification of the download being ready to ‘open or save’.
Using ‘FireFox’ and using ‘Adblock Plus’ I didn’t notice first, Adblock Plus was blocking the download from starting thus nothing happened on my end.
Because I use Adblock Plus also on my iMac, Adblock Plus there isn’t blocking the RuneScape Download at all so it didn’t alert me instantly, being busy with the download on my Windows Laptop.
That has now been fixed, at least I do know the difference now.
Why the ‘bypass’ given by Corder did work for both problems I still do not know. Windows has many strange workings.

I do not believe this is the case because I too have AdBlock and it did not block the download when I went to try it out on Google Chrome. Furthermore, I also see the message about my drivers not being updated.

I know that the "bypass" works for incognito mode because it's a different, private mode that does not have AdBlock or any other extension that you may already have, say, for Google Chrome (like my case).

I can't give you an exclusive answer because I haven't, all I saw was the 'Adblock Plus Icon' with a '1' in it so I looked at it finding out 'Adblock Plus' was blocking '1' thing on the download page of the website, after shutting it down the download could proceed.
I don't use Chrome for a number of reasons but with 'Microsoft Edge' and 'FireFox' I have enough corners to go to.
