I'm also putting the info about titles here as a holding post. Since they are currently disabled in the forums, that information is a bit superfluous.
Titles are regularly added to the game, many from Solomon's stores and others from quests and special events. There are currently almost 200 titles available in game. If you wish a title to appear on the forums, you need to use the Gear Icon (Sword and Shield) in game.
It's hard to categorize the titles, as they run the gamut from combat-based to cheeky to altruistic. Also, titles can be earned as a reward from easier quests as well as the most difficult ones.
For example, you can get Barbarian Assault titles just for completing the tutorial and descending the ladder:
