Not actually a part of the game, but a great tool for the merchers etc.

Is there (and presuming not, can you create) a 'lite' version of the Grand Exchange in a similar way to the high scores.
I realise there are 6000+ items but I expect it would have great benefit to the fanbase and fan sites who maintain their own version of the G.E.

Something simple like this...

2 623,36 231,39 33,40 40,and so on

Where the first digit is the item ID, a space, the second digit is the price and a comma to denote the next item; which the example above translates to...

Cannonball 623gp,Candle 231gp,Bronze arrowheads 33gp,Iron arrowheads 40gp

Something to consider. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

There are some Grand Exchange APIs that can be used to obtain some of the information you may be after. The RuneScape Wiki has a description of the available endpoints and values they provide:

What's the difference between what you're proposing and the current Grand Exchange section of the website?

Are you just asking for a complete list of all items and their prices? If so, I agree, that would be helpful.

Thank you for your response AppleJuiceAJ.

The API does offer the simplistic text-only data, however there are 2 issues I have.

First - it only appears to deal with single items, or even entire categories, by page.
There are 41 categories and a number of them are spread over multiple pages.
(The Miscellaneous cat has 10 pages. Potions are spread over 5 pages, collectively the entire list of 6000+ items comprises 80 pages) unless anyone out there can help me get the entire unfiltered list??.

Second - the result uses the rounded k/m/b suffix, not the precise price of the items to the exact coin.
To use a variation on the example on the wiki link you provided, the Dragonfire Shield (item 11284) returns a cost of ' 1.2m ', however the more accurate price is 1,182,445... a whopping difference if looking at, say, Hi-Alc calculations or other merch margins.

:D

As far as I know, there is no way to obtain all the data in a single request. This is likely due to the large size of the database and to maintain stability. To retrieve the exact price of an item, you'd need to make an additional call to the graph data (query max of timecode ). Low on bank space? Click here .
