On January 25, 2024 the RS Forums passed away peacefully at its home in the Jagex HeadQuarters. In its short life of more than 2 decades, the Forums saw massive use and dedication from the RS player base, supporting entertainment on its own, helping players make friends and form clans, trade items, ask for help, and ponder the past, present, and future of the game. The Forums evolved over time but throughout its existence it was always a cherished, integral part of the RS community. During the upcoming Ides of March 2024, the RS Forums are expected to be buried. We raise a glass and salute all players and moderators who have interacted here on the Forums over the years! We will miss you RS Forums!

P.S. I am personally saddened to see the this part of the community transition on to the afterlife as in my 20+ years of gameplay made 12,000+ forum posts and used the Forums for everything from forming bonds with other players to advancing my game experience to killing time while fishing. I hope you all remember the RS Forums as fondly as I do and continue to find community in the game, in your lives, and on other RS-related resources.

Logged in here just to make my own goodbye post to the forums. Been here since the beginning, and wanted to be here at the end, too. RIP.

I don't think you'll see me on the Discord since I don't like the spammy nature of discussions there. It's best used for instant messaging and that's that. And don't even get me started on Elon Musk's platform, big LOL. RS since 2001

An 'obituary' seems too sad!

Later this year, I hope they release some stats on how significant the Forums were - number of posters, posts, threads, time spent and impact on the game (via suggestions etc - probably too tricky to measure). That would be a fitting tribute. Sixth Realm | Community Clan Founded in 2009

They will never do this. They already showed disrespect of announcing this sunset pretty quickly.
