If they wanted to keep it strictly between the RSWiki and the OSWiki they could do
[rw]article title[/rw] and [ow]article title[/ow].
If they were trying to save character space. If not, your example would be nice as well, Spearmint.
In the interests of saving character space, I agree that your shorthand suggestions are good. As far as ease of simplicity for Jagex, it's probably easier to just allow *.runescape.wiki in the already existing [link][/link] tag.
I have to admit that the [wiki][/wiki] and [oswiki][/oswiki] examples I used are something I saw suggested by
YtHaar-Mej
, which they managed to implement on a site of their own. It works great, but would require more adjustments to the parser here.
Edit:
As the forumer has posted here and did let me know it was ok to credit them by name, I've done so as promised!

I think editing the link bbcode one to work would be best, because then it could be set to support the wikis without having multiple bbcodes.
While the wiki bbcode does exist....though limited to certain groups....link would probably be better to prevent confusion or multi-wiki support.
Hey Mej, thanks for stopping by and leaving your thoughts.
I tend to agree with you that just updating the allowed link URLs would be the simplest solution for Jagex if they wanted to roll it out to everyone with more ease, but I say that without knowing what their regex looks like.

Food scientists have finally managed to remove the mint flavor from gum! The ex-spearmint was a success!
