I usually play RS3, but I wanted to dive into some middle-school nostalgia and try OSRS again.
Unfortunately, I ran into an issue with the signup for OSRS.
When attempting to sign up, I received the error message "Your password contains invalid characters."
Not sure what those characters were, I began trying new combos in my password manager, taking off certain characters that might be weird or unsupported like ~ and ,
After a few tries, I was locked out and unable to create a new account.
Once locked out, I Googled the password requirements and found a detailed Wiki article explaining them. Then I understood that OSRS doesn't accept any special characters at all.
In hindsight, I should have Googled the requirements sooner. But I ask that Jagex change the message "Your password contains invalid characters." to something that explains what characters are accepted or links to that detailed wiki article for help. I find it friendly when I can find all the information I need to use a game within the game versus third-party resources like Google.
