Now that you mentioned that, it is true in some cases but most people adore celebrities for their talents and what they have done, for example I'm a huge fan of avril lavigne because her music is great and she is one very attractive woman, same reason as many people in this thread mentioned lindsey stirling

True, even though I don't agree that one should only like a celebrity just for their looks, I suppose I agree to disagree in that aspect. She is pretty but it's mostly the talent and the character/morals that she holds that makes her unique. :)
