Just wait for the next name clearance some names are held to ransom for merchants logging in like once every few months to keep the account active

On the next clearance perhaps looking at amount of active hours in the last 12 months, i think 60 hours of activity in a year and barely nothing since I works out of 5 hours of month should help you see who's logging in for a few minutes and who's actually using the account

How does asking for a name to be released make it rare? I simply asked for a name with NO ACTIVITY in the last 2 years, to be released. As stated by Jagex, "...we'll be releasing the character names of inactive accounts . If there's a name that you've had your eye on for some time, this could be your chance to claim it as your own!". I believe 2 years can count towards "some time" don't you think?
