Velcro - Just urgh. The sound Velcro makes when it's opened makes my skin crawl - heck even typing the word is making it crawl. Just urgh.
Aluminium - Especially when Americans pronounce it as "Al-oom-in-um" (I know they spell it differently too)
Any word which can be spelt differently in the UK and the USA. I can't stand seeing the USA's version (and I know some Americans who hate the UK spellings). Like Honour, Colour, Maths, Sulphur.
The word "Moist". No matter what it's describing, it's just an awful word.
One word I do like is the word "Bubble", because no matter how hard you try, you'll never be able to say it in an angry voice.
If you only do what you can do, you will never be more than you are now.
