It is a slow process. Should not have rushed her into thinking that way. She is currently trying to battle her emotions. Provide her assistance with that, then need to be willing to listen.

Though stereotypical; many days I feel I myself could agree with you :P . So many people seemingly have the need to feel loved and accepted by everyone all the time that it clouds their judgement of the real world we live in.


My best advice to you for this lady would be to forgive and forget. It is apparent that she is in a dark place and clearly has some things to work out -- Which is why she turned to others for advice; you. Though her reaction may not be as expected, perhaps (as said above) your advice was not as expected as well. Cope as long as you can with her bitter attitude towards you and if bridges are not mended in a timely manner it will not hurt to find a new friend. This world is made up of billions of people.. friendships and relationships are simply make-due .
