Came across this Social experiment video and honestly, made me feel like shit, why? Cause I would probably be a dick and not help the "homesless" guy.

What would you do? Help or look away?

theres a lot of homeless people where i live. i usually ignore and avoid them, not because im being an asshole, but because they tried assaulting me before. unfortunately a lot of them have varying mental illnesses that cause them to get in that situation in the first place Old School

Most of these "social experiments" are rigged as fuck. They go from paying actors/actresses to act certain ways to only showing the parts that they want to show to elicit a response from you. They don't make money if something unsurprising or non-emotional happens.

For this one it was pretty clear that they only showed you the clips where the people helped out the "rich guy" and they probably paid the homeless guy to help him out just so at the end they could make people feel like shit, which results in people sharing things more.

Would you have shared this video if they showed that only 5% of people helped the rich guy and 1% of people helped the poor guy? no cuz there's almost no difference in how many times they were helped.

I agree. Even famous Youtube prankters hire actors/actresses to act in their videos. There have been a few videos surfacing the web exposing them, albeit it should have been fairly obvious that they're fake. :P

For example, (regarding a social experiment)
https://au.news.yahoo.com/video/watch/30157920/adrian-gee-honesty-test-comes-back-to-expose-him/#page1

Edit: Oops...used the wrong word - apologies! It's late... :(

Edit #2: Just a video regarding prank channels, which I found quite hilarious.

Video was funny and interesting @same time.
THX for sharing.

Eventhou that might have been a setup or fake or wotever... my point is... the way we are is most likely we all act the same way when it comes to who we help.
