I am a long time Runescape player currently attending college and will be entering the real world in May of 2016. I'm also in the process of jump-starting my own business as well as other ventures on the side. One of my side ventures is designing T-shirts in my free time, so I got to thinking, why not make shirts for my favorite game?
I know that Runescape has a merchandise store, but it just seems bland to me, and I think it has so much more potential! I also believe that with this idea we can help the world while promoting the game, thus boosting Runescape's image.
How it Works:
I have put together multiple designs and I have more in my mind. Once I make the design I would run a campaign with a website called Teespring, as well as advertising via reddit, facebook, etc. When orders are placed Teespring prints the shirts and distributes them to the buyers.
Initially, profits would be used for business operations, but in the long run we could use some of the profits to give to those less fortunate. The first charities that come to my mind are the many charities Jagex let's us support in game.
This idea would also allow players to create custom shirts and get their message out to the Runescape community!
Issues:
Although most of the ideas I have generated do not use any images from the game, there may be a possibility that some copyright issues may arise. With that being said I would love to hear suggestions on how I could work around this.
Ultimately I'm looking for permission from a mod to get this thing started!
