I just found out about this yesterday. It's amazing and I'll be trying it out. If you haven't heard about this definitely look it up.

What it basically is:

Lucid dreaming: controlling your dream and do whatever you want, fly to the moon, paint the sun, say goodbye words to someone who past away, date your crush, basically you can do anything

Astral projection: you're sorta the avatar from the legend of the aang, going into a cosmic plane, popping out of your body and you can see yourself laying in bed, then walk through walls, go everywhere and see crazy things

At least this is what I heard about it. It's very weird to get to do this (your body will literally shake getting into the astral projection state), but not dangerous ;) .

Has anyone done this before? Looking forward to hear ur stories if so :p

I looked up Lucid dreaming before but apparently you need an optimal sleeping schedule to increase your chances of actually entering a Lucid dream. Since my sleeping pattern is inconsistent (and generally fucked most of the time), I gave up trying to experience this.

I've heard it's good. Not sure about Astral Projection, but I've definitely read about Lucid.

None of my lucid dreams were like that, I didn't choose the setting I just realize it's not a normal dream and can kind of feel myself moving versus just "watching" myself move. It's all pretty hard to explain especially as I forget the dream. Lucid dreams are real whereas astral projection is something you only see in tv (see: episode of Supernatural). I remember that you can sort of practice to have more lucid dreams but I've not tried to force one myself, they just occur every now and again. Stuff like lucid dreams, sleep paralysis, and hallucinations during early sleep stages are experienced by almost everyone at least a few times, sometimes multiple times a year.

Yeah if you go to bed, set an alarm for 4 to 5 hours later, and then go back to sleep but kinda stay awake you'll force a lucid dream, do this by repeating things like 'i'm entering a lucid dream now' in your mind.

And you can actually do astral project. There's guides on youtube. One said you have to lay still and do nothing for like 30 mins to an hour. Once fully relaxed imagine a rope in front of you and pulling it with your hands, kinda pulling your body out. Only imagining it though, still lay still. Then apparently you start shaking and eventually you hear a pop and you're out. And then most people freak out and they automatically turn back lol

And yeah I've seen the trailer of insidious :p luckily it's not like that

The whole plot of insidious revolves around astral projection, and it got a lot of things right. It's a fun watch, though it might make you a bit paranoid when attempting to enter a lucid dream state
