i went out to go to the shop, to find a woman getting attacked verbally by 3 males, i was at a distance at the time so i listened in on what they were saying (it was horrific) so i called the cops and carried on walking toward them whilst on the phone to the cops. as i got further toward them one of them started walking upto me sayng "you joining in the fun?" i told him i have called the cops, he went back to his friends shouting what i had done and they all left. the woman tried to offer me money to be thankful but i told her i don't want it and walked her home.

my question is, what would have happened if i never decided to go to the shop..

you do realize that they could of simply knocked you out and abducted you as well right? the police probs take 10-20 minutes to get there minimum, by that time your in a van and a few km away never to be seen again, especially if you are female so id call you a down right idiot for walking that close instead of yelling it from a distance being prepared to run away

just make sure you look at yourself as well please

but saying that, im a down right dumbfuck idiot when it comes to intervening as well, though, im also trained for that kind of thing=c

I know i should have stayed a distance, but i was worried for that poor woman.

EDIT: i also forgot to mention she was pregnant. Perhaps i am a fool for walking upto them, but how else could i get them to stop? it's not like i can just sit there and watch until the police arrive, like you said.. 10 - 20 mins.. anything could happen in that time.
