I'm one to follow "innocent until proven guilty". Although, that's hard because how exactly do you prove one's guilt? Especially considering how incompetent Jagex have proven themselves to be recently - it just makes you wonder..even when a J-mod "confirms" a ban to be "correct", I still have major doubts as to whether or not they've made a mistake still, because it still can happen (and it has in the past).
Actual botters do use this to their advantage though, so it's not surprising that most people tend to think you're guilty; it's easier to believe someone has done something negative, rather than positive, because positive acts are pretty rare these days.
I don't think you'd be stupid enough (given what you have done on the account) to bot, but I can't know for sure because it simply cannot be proven. Only the person that got "hit" knows 100% - the rest can just speculate and argue until they no longer care.
