its based upon play styles and up coming changes, for example

an update items that affect tanky supports is coming up, people who appear to have lots of experience with blitzcrank/leona/taric/alistar are chosen

a change to a champion is coming up, lets say yorick, they pick yorick mains, as well as a variation of what hes going to be going against

i got in on a support rotation a while ago

on a side note they recruit from all skill levels, unranked, bronze-challenger

when my friend aksedm e to play a few games to try out support variations, i beleive there was 2 challenger, 3 diamongs, 2 golds a silver and the rest unranked in the game, and we ended up not really playing but looking at other content, after laning phase cause our enemys champions brain pretty much imploded and has a spastic
