You have people spending 10 grand to fill out a TON of different rosters trying to come up with every decent roster combination. These are the guys that end up winning. Everyone else who spends 20 bucks filling out one or a couple rosters realistically don't have much of a chance.

Though I suppose playing in a lot of the smaller leagues with much less entries you can make a little bit of money if you're actually good. I don't really like betting on these one week leagues though because garbage time within the actual NFL games play such a huge role from week to week. Look at Atlanta last week, the receivers and Matt Ryan only got to play for one half because they were ahead by so much. Suck for everyone who had Julio Jones in daily leagues. Maybe thats just part of the strategy though I guess :s. I just dont like it!

This pretty much explains it but it's essentially what you said. There are a few top dogs who can game the system and fill out hundreds or thousands of different entries each week and then there is everyone else.

Still if you're just paying for the experience it is mostly harmless. No different than paying for other kinds of entertainment imo. Small bets are fun.

Also @Shamy yeah I was "Sam" on OTL. I started using it a lot more after the General Lounge died, but haven't been on in ages.
