I haven't played in over seven years. Just got an email from Jagex stating that they received my password reset request. Obviously, not made by me. Is there a way to LOCK my account. I have no interest in ever playing again. That doesn't mean I want some hacker having access to my account. (I'm sure the only thing worth anything are the stats that I worked on to gain access to this place a decade ago.) I just want the account locked. Period. No one will ever use it. Not sure how the noob even found out about this account. Shouldn't be on high score lists or anything.

And, why in that e-mail wasn't there an option to state that I did NOT request this password reset. I sign into my Netflix account with a new computer and I get an e-mail immediately. Does Jagex favor having a hacker willing to pay for my account over me? Is that the end game here? Allow dormant accounts to be taken over as long as the hacker is willing to pay a monthly fee?

TL: DR include a way to report that you didn't request a password reset in the e-mail links.

certain high target accounts get treated differently than normal accounts. otherwise their account would be locked 24/7.
