first episode of Koyomimonogatari came out. only 13 minute episodes for this. ill be honest i didnt find this episodes story very interesting. but im such a big fan of the monogatari series im still really looking forward to the next episodes Old School

I decided to give anime another go, watching them on release but if one of them isn't exceptionally good then I'm done watching anime before knowing if it's actually good or not.

I'm the same. I enjoy psychological thrillers too and shows that depict realistic emotional responses/development. I want characters that are believable.

Edit: one of the reasons I recently watched Fate/Zero again. Still think it's one of the best shows out there for people looking for a mature anime.

Recently ran out of other things to watch and decided to see what this season's anime.

Went through one punch man (as I didn't watch it earlier) first before starting a few of the newer ones: Erased, Dagashi Kashi, Dimension w, Kono subarashii sekani ni shukukfuki wo!, Musaigen no phantom world and Saijaku no bahamut. Out of those Dimension W and Erased stood out as good while the others I'll reserve judgement until I'll see how the next episodes turn out. Any others I should check out? Planning to see Ajin when it airs, but I don't know about anything else.

Also @ fate/zero, is there a particular order I should watch them in after zero 2nd season?

I've always said this about the Fate series... It's only worth watching Fate/Zero season 1 + 2 (25 episodes). Fate Stay Night is really bad and Fate Stay Night: Unlimited Bladeworks isn't that good but has really amazing animation in their action scenes (not style).

Tl;dr ONLY watch Fate/Zero, don't bother watching the other 2 Fate series.

ERASED is really good and totally caught me off guard in terms of predicting the way the anime was going. I have a ton of theories in relation to the plot but I'm not gonna share them nor am I gonna read up on any.

Dimensions W didn't not interest me in anyway, I feel like I should drop it.

God damn. ERASED episode 2 was perfect. I love how much tension the atmosphere gives off. It also felt like I was watching a movie or something. I really liked how they went with a widescreen/letterbox type of approach with those black bars on the top and bottom. I've not been this immersed in a show while watching it in a long time so hopefully the quality is consistent throughout.

Did anyone else notice this btw?

ERASED episode 2 spoilers


At first I was paying attention to the truck and the surroundings so I was completely thrown off. After looking back I noticed that Kenya's eyes changed color. Is this possible foreshadowing for what's to come? If so, it's amazing attention to detail.
