@alluka He has a reason to. He journeyed with them and bonded with them. And even with his emotions reduced he still felt distaste at what happened. Also if he doesn't I'm dropping the show and I'm sure I won't be the only one.
He even says that they are only people he went on that one quest with. He also says in an earlier episode that
reviving people
will draw troublesome attention to him which he does not want. When he's talking with Clementine he even mentions that depending on the situation, he would've done the same thing so being mad at her would make him a hypocrite. The only reason he was mad at her, as he stated, is because she interrupted his plan. That's why he felt distaste to what happened.
His actions clearly show he cared. It was completely logical that being a human at heart he would have the core of his personality overcome some shitty game mechanics when faced with something that would provoke extreme emotion.
But he didn't. Dropping overlord now. It is is a shit series 0/10 do not watch.
