So I actually gained 2 pounds (I'm now 162) from poor holiday eating (the way I look at it if you don't set time aside to enjoy yourself you will never stick with any lasting change so it is important to make allowances for treating yourself on holidays and ect)
Anyways a side effect of me eating more is that my muscles have gotten a good bit bigger. I suspect my diet was starving my muscles before because I haven't done any extra working out or anything and they just got bigger solely from me eating more and that is all that really makes sense to me. Also my veins started popping out at my shoulders, forearms, and the backs of my hands when I flex which is pretty badass imo.

I'm eager to build more definition and hopefully get that epic vein bulge up and down my entire arms. So that's my minor progress update.
