People on this thread...so INCONSIDERATE, two grills at once and pick the better?!?!

How would you like to be returned and think for the rest of your shelf life that you were just damaged goods! Lonely forever because no one wants a used gril.

It's not as good until the gril's been dirty before. It's hard to explain, but I can always tell when the gril is unused, and I just am not interested in it. An unused gril just isn't as good with meat as a used one.

I agree, a used gril that has already been broken in a few times, knows what to do with your meat and will bring out the juices better, an unused one has very little experience, would need a few goes to be broken in just right and would either over-do or under-do your meat leaving you feeling unsatisfied and possibly disappointed.

But a used gril might have its rack out of place from previous owners tugging and usage. If I am going to be getting my meat done, I want to place my sausage on a firmly placed rack before I put it between some buns ready to be devoured. That way you can have the gril be accustomed to your likings as you play with the placing of chicken breasts and what not while squirting your sauces where you so choose!

A few uncooked pieces are to be expected at the start, you too will have to learn where this gril prefers to have your shish kabobs, and just what dials or knobs are important to turn for a good grill session. It's a growing relationship, you don't just trade in for the latest model because it pressure cooks your meat or something. :(
