I believe this is the reason why Mascherano didn't have to go to prison either.
From what I've understood if someone were to commit another crime bringing their total above 2 years they have to serve both sentences in prison and this is mainly for first time offenders.

Is it the case that their prisons are near-full or what?

Idk what number Zlatan is getting tbh, typically he's #10, but Rooney has that and #7 is taken by Memphis.

Could see #11 if they manage to sell Januzaj (they have to sell some midfielders with the amounts they have available right? They're wasted on the bench)

Think it would also be a bit shame if Memphis were to leave as historically United have had great players with the number 7 shirt (Best, Robson, Cantona, Beckham, Ronaldo), but the most recent ones (Di Maria, Memphis) haven't panned out as people were hoping to. :/
