the developers take ideas from eachother all the time. idk what the avg drop rates for anything in rs3 is so i have no idea ow long it takes to get one in one game vs the other Old School

Rs3 boss pets range from like 200 - 5000 base chance 5k being gwd1 normal mode and then thresholds are factored in

No info on skilling+combat pet drop rates though. Some are dropped base off of the xp drop and some when you gain xp

E. Thresholds on combat+skilling pets at 99, 120 and 200m XP I think
