I can look up some beasts and interesting creatures; I know of some nightmare fuels, but I don't think you're going for that sort of thing. I think you're going more for a much tamer-but-deadly feel. Something that's challenging.
As for your areas, I like where you're going with it.
Keep it up. c:
But, if you want more ideas, perhaps expand upon what's surrounding the entrances and exits of the dungeon(s)? I am sort of thinking beautiful, but deadly. Maybe have something that branches off from the Main Entrance/Dungeon, in a descending manner? Or, if possible, calming areas to give the illusion that "everything is okay".
For example, a garden with impeccable, but poisonous, plants.
Or, if the adventurers are tired, a room with a view--an underground... forest... with deadly nightshade and medicinal herbs (but, those are scarce). In another part of the area, there could be a well that's 100 feet deep, but if traversed, leads to a smaller cavern with gold, silver, and, of course, the keeper of this cavern.
There could also be a small network that features crystalised stones and fossils, some of which could fetch a fair sum.
I am not too sure why I am thinking "fun house", either, but perhaps a room with a lot of reflective water.
I am also not too sure what you have in terms of bosses or the main villains, as of yet. I also don't know if you have it set for each area--for example, a boss per area.
I know a friend of mine had his set up where the group would travel from point A to Z, and Z would be the final battle. There would be smaller instances where unfortunate events or bad die rolls would trigger problematic events for the characters.
