Why are some women very obnoxious when they like a guy?

Was hanging out with a few friends today and one of them brought their friend with them and she clearly had a thing for me and after everything I said she was like

That's the thing. She was like a 7.5/8 so I was just like grit your teeth and just deal with it.

Maybe once she gets over how amazing I am she'll stop being obnoxious but till then i'm just gonna try and avoid "being funny" around her.
