It's kinda hard to get in to without spending some money to get started, since youll be way behind in cards vs most people you play. To skip that part, $25-50 is a safe bet. It's sort of like playing ranked LoL with the minimum champions, sure you can do it and slowly buy more with IP, but some will prefer to skip that and spend RP.

Other than that, it can be fun. It's very casual compared to any other card game so being bad is fine lol

Doesn't the matchmaking put you against people with similar card quality? So even if you buy a bunch of cards you'll be put against other people with similar purchases?

ranks 25-20 are the new people and you can't be deranked for losing
ranks 1-20 are the ones where you go up or down for losing/winning

you don't get matched with people with card quality, but rank. peopel with the good cards generally wont be down there so youre good. ranks reset every month so it gets rough aroudn then

There is also an unranked casual mode and a mode where everyone gets a randomly built deck and you get rewards for winning, lose 3 and you're out.
