I understand where you are coming from though.
I was banned a couple week ago a 24hr ban because I had the audacity to tell a mod what my own post meant which was in disagreement with his opinion. Was a week ban from here though what with reapplying getting ignored then having to reapply with an explanation hoping Lee would apply common sense.
I always support the relaxing of the rules to make them more akin to here, but those thread are always met with oh no the forums would explode if we could post links I mean you can post links anyway censoring of www and .com doesn't exactly stop people from working out the url lol.
And then they go on about how the rules are more relaxed compared with years ago... so what it doesn't alter the fact they are far too restrictive.
Then when threads about why the forums are less active people say too much moderation and their posts get hidden lol. Then you do a comparison with hlf 50 active v 7. Can't put it all down to moderation but that is one of the main differences in the way they are ran.
Not to mention you can't discuss moderation without being very careful as it just gets locked and posts hidden, naturally all those who complain are brushed off as just being trouble causers who can't follow the rules. As a result of the limited discussion you can have nobody says anything really productive as criticism even when constructive is taken as "questioning" and yep rule breaking.
I mostly use the OT section down there and the chat lounge gets on average 10 posts a week if that... Coming here I couldn't believe it, an active forum
