these things happen
no real reason getting all depressed about it
True, death/injuries happen all the time; doesn't stop me being sad though. A lot of people were sad when Robin Williams died, this is the same scenario as he's someone who means something to me
F1's took the crown of being a "safe" sport (not really the right word, but whatever), ever since Ayrton Senna's death in 1994. Sid Watkins and Sir Jackie Stewart helped move F1 into the era it is today, something that I would classify as pretty safe. Jacques Villeneuve & Ricardo Zonta's crashes in Spa 1999, Robert Kubica's crash at Canada 2007, Fernando Alonso's crash at Spa in 2012 to name a few..
But on the flip side, Maria De Villota is an example of what can go wrong in an F1 car. She drove into a lorry that was parked incorrectly whilst testing a Marussia car, she lost an eye, had brain damage and died a year later due to complications with it all.
Bianchi's accident was a pretty freak accident, aquaplaning (sliding on the water, essentially) and hitting a tractor sideways. If he would've hit it head on, or even backwards, he would've walked away, but nope...
I suppose the danger in F1 is killing yourself, and that risk is never going to go.
