If someone accuses me of paying Jagex for 'inside information' with no grounds or proof, I have the right to post to set the record straight, regardless of the thread.
Accusing me of such things can be considered defamation and so they should simply be glad I kept it to a polite forum post, rather than pursuing legal channels.
