Manual, and i think there's no difference. It's a chemical reaction, and both ways the fluid reaches as much of your teeth. Time is the only factor here :)

Electric because frankly my mouth just doesn't feel as clean if I manually brush. Also it's less effort. Plus the bristles on a normal toothbrush cut up my gums. That's just me though.
