I could never get into AOE Rise of Rome :/
Then again, i'd played AOE II (AOK) and AOE II (CE) before I even knew about AOE I.
I was introduced to AOE from my dad when I was a kiddy, you don't bother thinking about the original :p

I think the main reason I didn't like AOE I was that, (to me) it was less emmersive than AOE II.

Oh the memories <3 AOE, RTC Wolfenstien, Quake etc.
