These forums still work for a lot of players. They may not be as "vocal" in postings but, many of us come in to read up on information.
If anything, forums need to be promoted more! Which would include the possibility of exclusives that can only be discovered here. There is still a loyal following to these forums with also the hope of more activity from Jagex employees...as it should be. These are the "Runescape Official Forums" are they not? Or did it lose it's title of "official" and I didn't get the memo?
This might make you "gasp" in fright but not everyone playing these games belong to social media. In fact, social media gives me the hives.
So I say keep 'em.
