... I don't really think I've ever had a bad experience.

Had to have a few teeth removed, but that's because "my mouth was too small" for all of them. Had 4 removed, one in upper left, then right, lower left, lower right. Had them all done on the same day. Hurt like bleeding crazy when the anaesthetic wore off.
Didn't want to eat for days! :P
But ultimately, it was better for me, otherwise I'd have wound up with overlapping teeth.
If you only do what you can do, you will never be more than you are now.

I had a crown put on my molar, and the glue the dentist had used did not hold, so the crown fell off during a meal that consisted of soft foods. It fell off at 8pm and the crown was put on at 10am. I had called the dentist that night, but his phone service was not registering my call. It kept just ringing and ringing. No voice-over tape. Nothing.

So, I went over the next day and explained my situation to him. He belittled me. For not calling. And that, even though it was an emergency, I'd not be taken right away. Because he had "other patients" who had non-emergencies.

Eventually, I got seen, and the new glue took roughly 10 minutes. He bitched and moaned every step of the way.

His receptionist was a piece of work, too. :L

Had my wisdoms taken out a few years back, all 4 of them in a single op. I was given sedatives which were meant to help me relax, but it ended up knocking me flat out cold. I woke up feeling drunk. I felt zero pain the entire time, but the next day my face swelled up like a chipmunk's lol.

I actually hate dentists, and I have told off my old dentist before.

Basically, I had an X-Ray done that apparently revealed 12 - yes - 12 cavities. I was really surprised as I keep good dental hygiene and got a second opinion. There was only a single cavity actually there. When I got it filled, the dentist had to inject me 10 different times with the anesthetic because he kept doing it wrong.

And then, when my wisdom teeth were coming in, they sent me to get an opinion from the oral surgeon. He said that I didn't need to have my wisdom teeth removed. This was 3 years ago, to this day every time I go to my regular dentist's office, they show me a letter from the oral surgeon asking when I plan to have them removed.

What kind of incompetence is this honestly? Are all dentist and oral health clinics this disorganized/incompetent? I don't want to leave my dentist as it is a hassle switching my files/records/insurance and I don't even know if another will be any better.
