As Loki pointed out, OSRS isn't the same RS as it was in 2007.

I played OSRS when it first came out, but after the nostalgia wore off coupled with the updates to OSRS, I came back to RS3. MTX aside (why I'm an ironman), RS3 has much better gameplay IMO than OSRS.

The OSRS community is not for me. Too toxic. Keep coming to RS3 forums saying how shit RS3/EoC is, rage against anti-scamming updates. They asked for 2006scape, they got 2007scape and then complained they didn't have 2008 updates.

It's better because more people play it and it is the original RS we all started playing years ago instead of some microtransaction crap

i dont recall many things in osrs that were there when i was playing in 2007. do you just mean the simple combat system / graphics? as a lot of it now isnt anything like 2007 rs, i think i would have gone to 07 if there were no updates for it. so it would have stayed 2007scape not what it is now

and also the amount of people playing doesnt make it a better game. i guess you are also religious and like to follow the herd where ever it goes?


my actual answer is. i wouldnt say its garbage at all. it adds a level to combat that is now up to date with other mmorpgs. osrs is for the simple that cant grasp a slightly more complicated combat system other than hit now its your turn hit now its your turn. pretty much the simplest of all combat system. i say that not cause i think every osrs player cant grasp eoc. its the ones making threads like this that cant and this is there way of venting frustration.
dont get me wrong i like that old style of game play. but id rather stick the rs3 as its the original rs. if you were to use a time line osrs would a be a branch coming off the original game. where as rs3 be the straight line. (starting with classic)

as stated even though osrs has more players it seems majority are "toxic" i dont see osrs forums being spammed with "osrs sucks" its only from the osrs community itself

so do i like osrs i love it. it took the garbage out of rs3 and put it in another dimension. shame some keep popping back up.

Because i'm trapped here.

They won't transfer our stuff over and it's kinda hard to quit completely on something that gave you everything in life (partner, memories) especially when you grew up in bad places.

There's nothing to do since all minigames are dead and it's what I used to play for.
