Listen to that first link I posted in full and you will understand the difference between dubstep and 'dubstep aka brostep'
Brostep follows the exact same guideline, which is why it's a Dubstep subgenre. The only difference is original dubstep has a preferred lower, deeper tone, while brostep is more high pitched. Brostep & chillstep are definitely the music standards for dubstep. I won't say it killed it, because that's blatant opinion, but the fact stands that brostep is far more popular than original dubstep.

I'm also confused at why you're telling someone to learn the definitions of something when you don't even know them? Perhaps you should brush up on definitions, yourself. There's not a music genre out there that doesn't have multiple subgenres, it's still within the respected genre. Sure, people have their preferences and might only like certain styles, but to say something isn't proper because it's not what you like just makes you look stupid.

And for the record, I like both, just not the junk you posted with MC's ruining the flow of the music.
