Immortality isn't just where someone never gets hurt or never dies. Immortality includes anything that alters the life of the character. I mean practically every single hero and villain in any comic is at some form of immortality whether it's an official ability or only rumored (poking at lex luthor in particular..). If they killed everyone off like it should be then there'd be no such thing as arch nemesis, and we all know every character has one. It keeps the stories going. That's why I like immortality, because without it we'd literally only have like 3 comics total.

Where you dont get hurt or cant die of any attacks goes under invincibility in my book,which is too op and boring if you ask me.
And as I said there are different powers and abilities that let you cheat death, magical or technological. Immortality just gives you the ability to live forever by not aging or something similar. You would still pretty much be a regular person who can get hurt and cant do anything spectacular.
