My favourite dc was in the wildy as I was running past a warbands shortly after release - I was just scoping the area out for future reference. Log back in and the warband is happening right around me.
I was stood right in the middle of the beam thingy and ruined it for everyone. Then everyone tried to kill me.
Somehow escaped, sneaked back in, got the wand (when it was 5.5M) and ran like the craziest lunatic ever. Alas, I was killed shortly afterwards... but fortunately I happened to have a prayer potion so I 1-itemed the wand to safety. Hurray!
And that is the story of how a D/c actually gained me money. However, it's since had it's revenge many... many times.

My most annoying one was when I was trying to fight Nomad. I lost connection around 6 times, regardless of how well the internet has been running before. I started to think Nomad (and/or Jagex) knew that I would've won and so deliberately dc'ed me.
Finally got him though!
Got my quest cape for the first time, at nearly the lowest cb you could be at the time - 107. (106 is the lowest). I actually levelled hp during the fight (back when xp was awarded every hit, not on death) and got 107cb. Slightly annoyed tbh.
