The Jets are looking to inject youth into their line up for this coming season it seems. Pretty excited to see what the kids can do.

what I want to see:

Ladd Little Wheeler
Perreault Scheifele Stafford
Burmistrov Lowry Ehlers
Thorburn Copp Armia

Enstrom Myers
Byfuglien Trouba
Chiarot Postma

Pavelec
Hutchinson

Ehlers, Armia and Copp would all be rookies, and I'm hoping Ehlers by mid season or so can move up to the 2nd line and drop Stafford down to the 3rd.

Other notable kids that could be making it soon are Hellebuyck our saviour in net and also Morrissey on defence. But I think both are in the AHL at least to start the season. quality poster

Scheifele and Lowry were both very good last season and are still very young and will keep getting better. No need to go out and replace them.

I would say they need a true elite 1C. Little is good and capable of holding his own in that spot but he's just not elite compared to a Crosby, Toews, Kopitar, Tavares, Stamkos and such.

Though our roster is really getting some good depth, so I'm very happy with it. quality poster

That is true, but being realistic with who you can aquire without giving the whole world for - is ryan o'reilly. He can really improve this already well defensive team. I also think, you need more scoring touch. It is difficult to bring people there since the weather, and canadian dollar. What do you think will happen with Big buf? How much will he want?

Well I don't think RoR is available now seeing as he was just traded to and locked up long term by the Sabres. The Jets are in a spot where all they need is time to let their young guys develop. Give them 2-3 years and they'll be quite competitive.

There's rumblings that the Jets are only going to sign one of Ladd or Byfuglien, and I'd speculate it'd be Ladd. But if Buff is re-signed it'll probably be for between 7 to 8mil a year.

Honestly I would have traded Buff at the draft if they weren't going to re-sign him, but they didn't so..Not sure what they're planning to do with him. We'll see. quality poster
