1. I wouldn't. Clan doesnt allow us neat things like... shared animal bank, dmg boost avatar, etc. Stuff that would make me feel obliged to really try it.

2. The parameters would have to be...
a) no player mods. pmods welcome to guest in chat, come play croesus, etc, but none of the bootlicking, and none of the muting when its time to go to war, whether to kill bandos, or play new castle wars.
b) no runelite
c) no alt1
d) no macro
e) no alts, clones, flocks
f) no iron
g) no osrs visible all the time

simply... a clan of players who PLAY RUNESCAPE and not all of the other extra drama bullshit that is NOT RUNESCAPE

so that said... the new mainpage that is all "manage all of your accounts" SO TONE DEAF to some really icky stuff a lot of players really, truly, deeply do NOT like about the game... and Jagex even kinda going other way making p mods out of players who do use clones, flocks, alts, irons, overlays, toolkits, etc.

I have p mod friends, and they could have their feelings hurt reading this, but I am really not revising what I impugn for complicity. Only way to immunize against ____ trying to join would be to eliminate him for his fake customer service crown... nevermind his incredibly icky antiscience, antivaccine, antimandate terrorism. Im not sure I could make the policy "you have to make good life choices" as prereq for joining. I am a little disappointed that all of the p mods didnt drop their crowns when he was given one.

and I would never expect anyone to make a clan like ^ this, then ask me to join, because vetting all of the members is a job I wouldnt want to do.

other stuff the game REALLY needs
1. a tick box to hide all iron from public chat
2. a block feature at the forums so that "dinkelberg" can't read us and spam reports we disagreed with his disingenuine baiting, didactic jingoism, and petulant spreadsheet warrior fraud.
3. tick box to hide player friends on FSW, osrs, etc.

furthermore on idea that "manage all your accounts" is a provocative, incendiary prompt... it leans on existing things in the game world at end of long lockdown like... so many households that have family account for animal crossing on switch. The diction begs imagining parental control, discount, etc. Things that would be good for the game...

and with the coming change to legislation where you disallow age 18 and under to buy keys... parental controls would be more prudent than last ditch efforts to fleece us with new rares like purple h'ween mask.

that has NOT been made clear. thats not in the upcoming schedule thing. that does need to be forefronted.

bringing family members to a game infested with flocked "soloduo" players who can shill, with "interest" that should, and never does, recuse them of vote weight, etc... its... a harder choice than y'all think... and making wildy a party place for new players is a HUGE HELP and I want to love the wildy flash mobs a LOT more once the scaling is fixed, but...

I wish Jagex thought about that more. Disney is way bigger than Blizzard and it always will be.

I ran a clan for 11 years. There is no way in hell are you going to erase drama. It happens. But another thing you learn, loads of people cheat and account share. I had to once kick 50% of the clan because they insisted on breaking the game's code of conduct. It is very hard running a clan. Particularly a big one, 100 members +. My clan has pretty much dwindled now. Because I am not as active. I let many good people move on to more active clans now.

thanks for your reply, no snark, and... I had someone in voice today who told me all about how mod shauny fixed the broken avatars for clans and why. wowed me.

I should have qualified what kind of drama I do like, and what kind I don't.

I recently wanted to argue with ____ about moa -vs- unlocking titles*, and it woulda been great... but we were at this space full of cheat loving cheaters cheating. I had to leave it, and three others like it.

Cause there is no drama about cheating. Thats WAR and I do not take prisoners. If its a space labeled "community" or "help" then FOH with apologisms for toolkits and overlays.

* my contention is that master of all is a goofy thing to have as a title and should just be a runescore thing with a generic R you can maybe favourite, and that 'master of unlocking' should be a title that corresponds with having used/unlocked all curses, abilities, and got the acheivement for "unlocking expertise."

all the guilty cheats wanted to do was bait me playing dumb "whats wrong with bringing toolkits and overlays to live judged tournaments? why wont runescape ever be an e-sport?" pffft. they already know. their feigned indignance and confusion was beyond insulting.

I still cannot believe I had to kick 50% of the clan. Forgot the issue. Think it was a big glitch abuse issue. Many of the 50% got permanently banned as well. No, I was not responsible. I just found out about it and kicked them. I did however give one member a second chance. Mainly because she admitted to using a macro. Another story. She was surprised I did that. Because I was usually tough about rule breaking. But have to admit, I really liked the person. Plus outside of the botting incident, was a good member. Besides they admitted without me asking about it. Removed the character that got permanently banned and accepted her new account in the clan. She never broke any rules after that incident.

most of the toolkit/overlay complicit forum mods here gaslight, gaslight, and gaslight some more about that cheat stuff. the one right now is all like "youre off topic correcting dinkelberg about pyrefiends being demons" which is super crucial, not off topic at all, and it made me wonder why theyre trying to gaslight me so bad... looked em up... theyre all on the way to 5.6 (competitive basket weaving afaic) and have not even a 0% enrage win for ed4/zammy.

same fangless mods here, or at discord, or at reddit... they wont get behind anyone saying "no alt1!" "no runelite!" and its super obvious why (theyre cheaters who use both).

I truly wish theyd give Canada Girl near total control of rsof and let her clean house of those mods who plagiarize her work, the ones abusively gaslighting, and leaving us all constantly at the mercy of Dinkelberg's spammed false reports (theyre like ten a day). I feel fairly certain CG could sweet talk someone who knows the controls for these ancient UBB to give us all block user features, and sure... many might block me, and I do not plan to be less polarizing ever, so thats fine, but I would posit that like 90% of the forum users would block Dinkelberg on day one.

I do sometimes feel like Im taking crazy pills when addicts who used to be expert computer users are like "install screen readers and key loggers! what could go wrong!?" but its their addiction talking. I aint crazy. I wish that Jagex would frown a lot harder on use of that crap.

yep. Canada Girl was a mod, and got stripped of crown, for starting peng hunters, which was a HUGE mistake on Jagex's part. She has done more for "community" than any of the other swaggering fake opinion leaders that get called such.

also... the forum mods losing their minds... theyre openly trying to gaslight me* telling me demons are off topic discussing wildy flash mobs... because theyre tired and jaded.

a brand new player doing novice quests reading me write "hint: its a demon" might fetch FREE silverlight from bank and whallop pyrefiends for 70,000 dmg to cap and loot, but...

I forgot she Canada Girl was a pmod or fmod. I did think the chat or chats were well run. Believe due to activity there needed to be more than one. Anyway, due to rl, I became less active with game. It was hard to keep up with everything. Only thing I have been able to maintain was my max status. I still enjoy game. Do not like how some of the story lines went. But the old lore is lost. Even OSRS has gone off in lala land. Wish we could go back to 2008. Believe that was a good time. Even though the best was 2006. But 2008 was when I really found a lot of friends. Started my clan and was the most active. Oh and the quests then were awesome. Think the game was better during the days of trade limit. You had to work harder.
