For the top update I can't decide between treasure trail rework and new achievements plus runescore hiscores. Both really fun updates. It's stuff like that which keeps me playing. I also enjoyed the player-owned farm an deep sea fishing.
Honourable mention to 120 skillcape perks as a fantastic smaller update and the action bar switching tool as the best quality of life fix this year.

Solak, because it convinced me to move on to OSRS. Jagex clearly has no intention of making comp more accessible to people who have put thousands of hours into it.

Never uses treasure hunter keys. Never buys runecoins or bonds. Never pays extra for 'Premier' status or passes. Never will.
Oddly enough it was runescore achievements. Gave me so much to do in game and motivated me to play more. There were other updates that I enjoyed, like solak, elite dungeons, clue scroll rework to name a few. The achievements were really fun though, hope they do more of that.
