if we're going to leave reaper on comp then I think it's reasonable to request 'story mode' boss fights, where no loot is given, deaths are safe, and successful kills are rewarded with 1 KC for the first kill to check off reaper title - these 'story mode' fights should not have instant-kill mechanics and should have heavily reduced damage to encourage people to participate - not necessarily master.

I like this idea of a story mode.

I like this idea of a story mode.


agreed, something as minor as a 10% damage and boss health reduction, including lowering the insta kills to taking 90% of your lp (could still be an insta death by combo?) for one single kill with no loot seems a good idea, have it for all bosses - you could even give each new boss its own (mini?) quest in the same way that qbd and corp has, and include 1 slightly easier kill as part of the quest (unlike the current qbd and corp quest) - im sure some quest capers would not appreciate it but it would help a large part of the comp cape community

you could even provide some kind of minimal guide to killing the boss in the quest, as it would be instanced, so could be paused for extra cut scenes?

would also give a more meaningful experience as you would have to be introduced to more of the lore before killing a boss than you currently do
