===== Section 55: How to Gain Distance Fastest =====
Always send voyages based in the highest region you are in, all other regions' former distance gains are CUT IN HALF.
For the 1st 6 regions (Arc through Pincers Region), only the 2 highest resource voyages will give the maximum distance for your time spent sailing. In Scythe, send for 300/500 Cherrywood. In Bowl, send for 360/600 Jade. In Pincers, send for 450/700 Stainless Steel.
For the final 2 regions (Loop and Shield Regions), the 3 highest resource voyages will give the maximum distance. Loop: 125/175/275 Terracotta (along with 400 Barmaid). Shield: 240/360/560 Azure (along with 720 Barmaid).
Always have all 4 ships sailing and not idle in your port. Make sure to raise your speed to the max on every voyage. You know you have maxed out your speed when further increases in speed do not lower your voyage time. Scroll and trade good voyages have higher speed caps. For example, Loop region, either using Judge of Dice, Wisp, or Pincers Region's Ship Hulls - which have a greater speed boost than the Loop's Region Seafaring Hull.
Even if you fail a voyage, you still get full (100%) distance gain!
Example is Loop region, extrapolate and use same scenario for all regions.
- Loop's trait voyages = 6.8K distance
- 125/175/275 Terracotta voyage = 6.8K distance
- Adventurer XP voyage = 6.8K distance
- Scroll voyage = 9.9K distance
- Any trade good voyage = 9.9K distance
- Loop's A Barmaid's Tip voyage = 6.8K distance
- Storyline voyages do NOT give distance
Max distance you can gain in a 24 hour period is ~66,000 miles, at a rate of 11.5 miles per minute per ship sailing (if the ship is at or above max speed for that voyage and is NOT idling in your port).
Every time you log in or log out, you delay all ships up to 1 minute, but it averages ~30 seconds. Beware when quick hopping worlds often.
Each voyage has it's listed time and +/- 8 minutes.
