There was a time when I'd have said no and not budged in the slightest. Years ago I was strongly against it when it was first mentioned. However, I can't argue against any of the reasons stated in this thread for its removal.
I'm not concerned about losing history. There has never been any archiving on RSOF and I think long ago we already lost (with very exceptions) all the data that was worth preserving.
Jmod's haven't been here since Mod Mat left HLF, sure there was some visits from Mod Daezhun, Slayer, Chris L, and some others. But no real Jmod presence in the last 7-ish years. Even Mod Mat wasn't very active here towards the end. Any argument based around Jmod activity is pretty much moot, they left us a long time ago.
So it's finally been confirmed HLF Feedback isn't for Jmods. I expect it's mostly because they struggle to read anything longer than a tweet or that posting here does nothing for their social media status (no likes, karma, followers, etc here). Regardless of why, their lack of existence has been evident for a long time. Even those people who were in denial and believed Jmods lurked here gave up whatever hope they had after the feedback threads were removed. Jagex are not interested, it's nice that someone finally said it.
I don't think killing off feedback will hurt the forums in the short term. My biggest concern is long term repercussions. When things get removed we never get them back and it makes it easier to take more away again and again. It could start a snowball effect. I'm not even sure if that's a good or bad thing but it raises the question, where will it end? After all, the Feedback section is not really doing any harm.
I'm not prepared to say get rid of it, at the same time I wont be bothered if it goes.
