This was 100% about trolling completionists.

I'm not involved, but I called them out on it years ago. People need to understand everything about it was intentional.

These devs don't care about fun, and I doubt half of them know what the word means.

The mechanics are actually pretty simple. When you initially click a scarab, the crock will be on a hunt. During that time, any scarabs you click will be added to the stack. Your buff bar will have an indicator of how many scarabs are in the stack so that you know if you've hit the maximum for the stack.

And just repeat...yes it is very boring and repetitive, but isn't that what Runescape is all about?

To make it worse the devs were like yeah you complained but we aren't going to do anything about it.

That didn't go well.
