This is correct. If you buy with Thaler, then your chances of getting awarded them is still 0 until you pass the game count threshold for each.

Soul Wars - 110+ games

Castle Wars - 70+ games
Fight Pits - 250+ games

He's probably talking about the same thing, as the armours are very rare until you pass that threshold, for which the chance increases on getting them.

As far as I know the armour is impossible to get until you pass that threshold, after which a flat chance (different for every item) kicks in.

I have many many pieces of every minigame hybrid item, once you start getting them, they don't get any more common. Join the RuneScape community on Reddit in

I have many many pieces of every minigame hybrid item, once you start getting them, they don't get any more common. I remember receiving pieces much slower when I only had 1 of each, compared to the many I have now. But this was a long time ago and i don't have a source. I didn't think there was an exact gamecount required to start receiving them, but that makes sense as I never received any pieces early on. Unfortunately the forum posts are long gone but there was definitely a point after receiving your first piece where it was still uncommon to get another. After a certain amount of wins (not sure if it was gradual or a threshold) you would receive the pieces often. They may have changed something in the last 5 years but I went after the hybrid armour on release and this was the case.

Yes this is exactly how it works (it gets more common gradually, up to a certain point where it's super common). Well on release of the hybrid armor anyways. Years have gone by so it may have been changed.
