Welcome to the thread to discuss anything and everything Ironman. I was hoping to turn this into an overall discussion and help thread for people to ask questions and post tips and tricks. I want to make this a place for current players to interact with each other and to maybe encourage people who haven't tried it yet to play. If this goes well I'll make another thread in the regular forums to bring together people who don't have maxed accounts.

I do not want people to just post their account information then leave, the other threads got bombarded with stuff like that then became stale and died. I do want there to be a discussion value in this thread, so I highly encourage posting your stats when you have something to talk about [i.e. need help with something, and people need to know your stats etc] (and maybe some achievements or goals you gain along the way).

Also it would be good to post your ironman name when you first post so people can look up your account if they want.


Anything I post below as a guide I'm more than happy to get input and add other peoples information. Help me add things! I'm busy adding things atm, so i'll constantly be changing things.

Small list of random tips/tricks for Ironmen


- Kingdom - Unlock asap, great for resources. (Coal + Maples good combo)
- Shop run - Runes, feathers , buy broads from masters, Invention equpment (claws/swords)

Dailies:
- Shooting Star - 50k gp/day (great for low level ironmen) + astral/cosmic runes
- Vis Wax
- Caches
- Big Chinchompa

Weeklies:
- Familiarization
- Penguin Hide & Seek (more worth as Ironman due to not as plentiful ways of getting XP)

Quests
REVIEW QUEST GUIDES BEFORE DOING ANY QUEST AND LOOK FOR FIGHTS(HCIM) OR ITEM/LVL REQS

I'd highly suggest doing quests completely on your first day and always have quests in mind when leveling up your account.

- Blood Pact
- Cooks assistant
- Shadow over Ashdale (boss fight)
- Demon Slayer (don't get spec'd out)
- Vampyre Slayer - Count Draynor (level 28)

- Death Plateau (then delivery missions)
- Restless Ghost
- Tree Gnome Village
- The Grand Tree - safespot mage/range black demon
- Merlin's Crystal - Sir Mordred (level 23) [Level 70 if incorrect answer]

Quests with requirements that should be done ASAP
- The Knights Sword - kill white knights for iron bar or skeletons in lumby catacombs| Give you like 30 smith

Combat
Lumbridge catacombs for 1-35 of the main combat stats (req blood pact) to give you 40 cb (skips straight to Vannaka as good low level slayer boss)
Then train with Slayer

Good spots to train without Slayer:
Ghoul, NW of Canifis, weak to fire and 2.3k hp. Good low level xp for all styles.
Cave Crawlers

Combat Weapons/Armour
- Get 45 wodcutting asap, cut 5 bark for splitbark wand/orb (Wizard Jalarast wizards tower)
Can get as drops from higher level Ghoul in dungeon.
- Branches of Darkmeyer for level 70 weapons
- Darklight for demons
- Warpriest (tuska event easiest at low lvl)
- Barrows for tank armour at start
- Augmented Hand Cannon (t75) won't explode, but will use up more energies than normal
- Staff of light (t75) requies 92 slay, or polypore staff
- Zammy spear or godsword (t75)
- Chaotic staff (t80) best first weapon
- Rush priff + 90 smith for attuned weapon seed t80 (bow best use, halberd 2nd best)

Magic Gear
God Capes - Mage Arena Minigame
Level 50 - Iban's staff - Undergroud Pass
Level 60 - God staves - Mage Arena
Level 60 – Master Wand (Mage guild Yanille, good for Steel/Iron drag tasks)
Level 75 – Greater Runic Staff (req 90 RC, highly recommended)

Range Gear
Use what you can until 40 Range
Kill Steel Dragons for runite limbs and create rune cbows (req 69 fletch)

Melee gear
Buy from shops
Complete Lost City for Drag Longswords

Summoning
- Quest/Lamps to start
- Lvl 16 - Granite Grabs - Gold charm + Iron Ore
- Lvl 46 - Pyrelord - Crimson + Tinderbox (Buy from firemaking cape guy)
- Lvl 52 - Terrorbird - Gold + Raw Bird Meat (Buy meat from Oo'glog shop - quest needed)
- Lvl 56 - Ibis Green + Harpoon (Buy from Catherby fish store) [Price is an issue, read below]
- Lvl 74 - Granite Lobster - Crimson + Granite (Mine granite with porters, good mine exp too)
- Lvl 96 - Pack Yak - Crimson + Yak Hide (Buy yak hide on Jatizso, 1k/day)
Save blues until higher levels, lowest I'd start using them is at lvl 57.
- Lvl 79 - Fire/Moss Titan - Blue + Fire/Earth Talisman
- Lvl 83 - Lava Titan - Blue + Obby Charm
- Addy Minotaurs + Geyser titans are good exp alternatives too.

Tips:
- Amlodd VoS gives 20% bonus exp, plus Hard Elf task give you 10% more shards on swap.
- I wouldn't use Green Charms unless you have to. They tend to be around 30 gp/exp, which leaves better options(Beaver - lvl 33, Ibis lvl 56, Bunyip - lvl 68, Fruit bat lvl 69, Hydra - lvl 80, Unicorn - lvl 88, Abyssal Titan - lvl 93)

Prayer
- Nexus/Nemi Forest
- Either kill frost dragons with bone crusher + dragon rider ammy or bank with yak, or do cleansing crystals until 99
other notes:
- Bury everything you can get your hands on
- Ectofunctus at your own will power
- 75+construction You can use gilded alter if you wish
- Heffin Agility on Heffin VoS
- Buy bonecrusher and aquire attuned ectoplasmator (dropped from aberrant spect, essence from same and banshee) for background xp

Tip:
Rush to 95 Prayer,then let the passive exp come in (heffin vos, burying with bone crusher, etc).

- Abyss with Halbred, about 450k xp/hr with t80 hally and around 90 stats

Slayer:

Essentially it depends on what tasks you enjoy, but there are definitely some tasks I'd do over others due to high efficiency.

My current tasks setup for Morvran :

I'd highly suggest keeping Ganos, waterfiends, celestials, and glacors. I put greater demons on there for zammy gwd, but i'll probably take it off. Abyssal demons are great for cash/rubies+, decent for xp. Gargoyles are amazing GP and emeralds+, not that great xp.

I'd consider swapping greaters/abyssals/gargoyles for the following other notable tasks(in no order):
- Asc (for keys)
- Automatons (easy geat xp if you got good accuracy)
- Aviansies (for bossing)
- Dark Beasts
- Elves (amazing at cadarn, especially with vos. Camp next to altar for unlimited ss)
- Ice Strykewyrms (amazing xp + staves)

Other tasks that are OK(in no order):
- Aquanites (only if you need farming xp, otherwise skippable)
- Crystal Shapeshifters
- Mith/iron/steel Drags (easy slay xp + points)
- Airuts (only if good gear, otherwise a waste of time)
- Kalgs with danklight
- Kalphites if doing KK
- Eddimus until bloodshard (otherwise meh, gp is ok, supplies ok)

Block:
- Elite Slayer mobs
Kuradel:
Depends on how many points you have, but some noteable tasks that weren't mentioned above are:
- Spirit Mages (amazing gp + warpriest)
- Vyrewatch

OK tasks:
- Kalphites
- Jungles until hex

Block:
- Mithrils

Low level slayer
- Pretty much do everything, if you need skip tasks that you dislike. Save up points for slayer helm and its upgrades.
Good low level tasks:
- Dust Devils - melee
- Abarrent Spectres - Range

Fletching:
- Consider putting the exp reward from tourist trap into fletch.
- Start off low lvl chopping your own trees
- Spare bars - smith darts, dissemble for swift parts (rod-o-matic)
For 99 Fletch:
- Unlock kingdom to get maples, fletch to 99
OR
- Headless Arrows until 52 fletch
- Buy feathers from shops, buy broads from masters
- Broad arrows till 99

RuneCrafting
- RuneSpan of course
- Unlock Wicked Hood asap, do your daily runes (natures best run to make)
- Go to abyss to unlock almost all talismans
- Unlock omnitalisman asap for wicked hood
- Runesphere
- 77+ Alt method - Kill abyss demons with scythe (5-7k pess/hr), do abyss blood runes
- Unloack All Wicked Hood (Pure ess + 3 teleports)

Construction
- Best you can do or limestone fireplaces
- level 30 - Oak Larders
- level 60 - Driftwood prawnbrokers

Tips:
- For oak's, telly to varrock lode, cut oaks around there, then tele to taverly lode, make planks at the guy right next to the lode build stuff, then repeat
- Use butler to turn your logs into planks
- Make flatpacks to dissamble for invention materials - simple + crafted
- Do deadlist catch ASAP - it unlocks deposit box next to teaks on Ape Atoll. This is where you'll get all your teaks easily, best way to 99 woodcut too
- pre-priff - taverly house loc,post-prif prif house loc.

Firemaking
- Cut and burn your own logs
- 45 Fm - maples from kingdom
- 83 wc + fm - Curly roots to 99

Tips:
- Highly suggest getting seren prayers for 83-99 Fm,superheat form will grant you 666k+ fm xp/hr on curly roots. only drinkone super prayer renewal every 25min with this setup:

Thieving
- idk what to do for low lvl thieving

- Do The Feud quest to at least the blackjack point, and buyers and cellars and their miniquests after to unlock complete thieves guild. A guild of our own miniquest should unlock rubber black jacking on cosher volunteers. This will give you 150k+ thieving experience at level 50. Highly click intensive.
- Level 81 (or as low as 71) start doing pyramid plunder. If you don't have pharaohs sceptre, lobby in the last room when your'e done, it'll always take you back to the start room.
- Level 90 - When you unlock seren spells, do dwarf traders to 99 with light form and crystal mask. Sample gear for pray bonus

- Alterantive 92+ do priff thieving until 99

Herblore
Pretty much all lamps and bonus exp should be going on herblore first. Definitely the hardest thing to train with any normal methods.

Crafting
- Quests/Bow Strings
- DG Crafting - Run through a floor, pickup as much high valued items as efficienctly as you can, go to base, sell everything, buy protoleather hides then craft and sell until 0 gp.
- TT for silver bars to make tiaras (DG crafting is better)
- 75+ Harps or protoleather bodies.

Smithing + Mining
- Knights Sword Quest + Digsite Quest.
- Get 15 Dungeoneering - Mine the iron ore at fally mine near the DG resource dungeon, go into the resource dungeon, use the deposit box. Smith the iron ore making ingots.
- Other option - unlock lava flow min and do until LRC
- LRC - 80+ Mine then bank the ore. Wear goldsmith gauntlets and drink perfect mining juju potion
- Seren prayers - Use superheat form, camp one rock and mine/drop the gold bars. World hop for max efficiency to 99.
- Artisans workshop - Ceremonial/ingots
- Varrock Plate - smithing benefits

Farming
Getting seeds is pretty much slayer, buying from shops, or pickpocketing from farmers.
- Low level - Sweet corn (cook them too) + Strawberries, switch to watermelons later
- Herb runs!!
- GreenFingers aura can be very helpful
- Ganodermics - Great for dropping seeds, great for flakes, and decent money.
- Aquanites - get seedicide, bone crusher, demon horn necklace, and SS for about 80k farming xp/hr~. Not the best but a good alternative to actually farming. They also drop other seeds.
Other:
- Wishing well seeds (Decent resources at high total level)
- Barberry + sunchokes (Sunchokes 50k str/day)
- Buy 20 Oranges/day at grand tree for Maple tree payment
- Buy tree seeds in priff
- Pineapples for Super Compost - Athien in Catherby, 40 for 2gp each, Dell Monti 40/day after karamja easy. (or cres drop a lot)

Fishing and Cooking
- Low level quests - Sea Slug and Fishing Contest. Fish Flingers - Start unlocking tackle box.
- Fly fish until aquarium is complete, cook the fish while training.
- Do A Love Song for monkfish (62 cook + fish).
- 85+ fishing cavefish, bank and cook. (use porters to bank)
- 91+ rocktail bank and cook. (most efficient to do rocktail to 99 if you want fish). (use porters to bank).
- C2 Fishing at 80+ fishing/cooking until 99.

Hunter
- Do Museum Miniquest for 9 hunter
- Divine locations until 52
- Big chin until Grenwalls
- Get priff med tasks done
- Greenwalls in private hunter area or outside in priff (someone confirm this plz)

Woodcutting
- Cut things for fletching/firemaking
- Kill steel/iron dragons for rune hatchet
- Kill DKS for dragon hatchet
- Use harmonic dust to make rystal hatchet
- Do Deadliest Catch quest ASAP, unlock bank deposit box on ape atoll. Cut teaks until 99, bank the logs for con.

Agility
- Daily scape low levels imo
- Quests/circus
- 35+ Barbarian outpost
- 50+ Ape Atoll
- 77+ Hefin VoS until 99 or just normal hefin agility

Invention
- Unlock white knight shop for cheap weapons/armour
- Maple logs from kingdom for simple parts
- Slayer rings for enhancing + precious
- Smith/Fletch darts for swift components (rod-o-matic)

Items to break down:
Range: t70 Crystal bows bought for 1m from Islwyn (or black salamanders), or t75 hand cannons,
Mage: t75 ganodermic leggings, Staff of light and buy daily fire runes for polyspore staff
melee: t70 Crystal Halbreds, Balmung, Sunspear (any style)

Dungeoneering
- Do a combination of Small/Medium Dungeons. Lower floors = Small, Higher = Medium. The combination of which to do small/medium depends on how fast you are. You will have to figure out what feels best, if you're not confident in your speed then it could be best to do all small floors.
- Daily tasks should always be doubled, they're amazing exp. After you max do daily tasks to 120.
Rewards(in tokens):
- Chaotics -> Staff -> Maul(claws) -> Bows. 200k-300k
- Imp - 100k
- Gem Bag - 2k
- Bone necklaces (super useful)
- Scrolls - Life 10k, cleansing 20k, Proficiency 20k, Efficiency (it's meh) 20k
