I mean I know I am polarizing. Sometimes love, sometimes hate me for writing too much, or not flattering, but... I don't drop the n bomb capriciously, or joke about people who do.

Im really sure the paid gamers dont know what theyre saying. I think whats happened is that they mean to pregret high hopes, and turn the inevitable disappointments into laughable events. They dont mean to signal the second word.

You mean people just saying 'let's go' without using whatever is on that vid? Watch any sport and people say it constantly. And they have been since forever.

I'm not going to guess where these gamers picked it up but they seem to say it in celebration, just like in sports. I don't think that is unusual at all.

People saying 'let's go' for ANY reason is completely unoffensive. I don't know how many backflips you have to do inside your head to think that somehow that phrase is related to the N word JUST because one guy somewhere once said those three words. He wasn't even saying them as if the first phrase in any way related to the offensive word.

If a meme is used outside of an offensive context in which it originated, THE OFFENSE IS NO LONGER THERE. Like, wow. I really have to explain that?

This is as backwards as something like, "Hitler played the violin, so it's a hate symbol. Nobody should play violin ever again."

I was a real wrestler, not some fake wrestler like "roddy piper" so we can maybe settle pretty quick on not relying on the "aunt sally" or "strawman" logical fallacy hingeing on 'you don't know' cause I most certainly do know all about real sports.

Its not the text, either, but absolutely the context and the way the thing is said. The inflection. The tone. Thats why I cite evidence.

Furthermore I know why this floats in paid gamer circles (like other things that float) and its because of the 73 million dollar felix kid, pewdiepie, who keeps constantly being racist... and thats not my opinion but pretty well established understanding by most academics, lawmakers, and more.
