It's not so much envy but I kinda feel bad for the people who still play RS3. At the very least, the ones who play regularly. That game is so bombarded with MTX and DailyScape and cheap, meaningless holiday events that I can't possibly love it anymore.

All the love that went into the game at one point has now all dissipated and all that's left is this overmilked dying cow that Jagex (or rather, the company that now owns Jagex) continues to abuse just to squeeze what little bit of money they can out of her before she eventually keels over from exhaustion.

I admire people who play for fun rather than rewards, especially older content and minigames. Stuff like Dungeoneering, Heist, Stealing Creation, Fishing Trawler, Shades of Mort'ton, and older bosses that are more difficult to get into.

They do it for the hell of it and also to help other players learn and complete the content. Some of the most dedicated and knowledgeable players out there.

Couldn't agree more with this! +1

I took a break for 2 years to play oldschool. I got the quest cape on oldschool and generally had fun playing old content. That is what I missed on RS3 - just doing fun random stuff even if it wasn't "efficient". Since I came back I started going for trim and master quest cape, among other achievements for Runescore and that has kind of rekindled my love for the game.

Also elite dungeons - I am a fan of hack and slash games like diablo, and elite dungeons are really fun imo

I admire people who like to play group content. It seems to be a rare breed nowadays as everyone I meet seems to have this notion that this MMORPG is a single player game. Its become a pretty anti-social game outside of pvm. (and even then so many people complain about group bosses) I enjoyed when minigames were popular when people would get together for clan wars, social gatherings like "the runescape gathering", and when alot more people were making RS youtube videos with their friends just for fun.

I dont mind the achievement/reward grind but I do think people should have fun together obtaining them than just doing almost everything solo.
